Maui has three airports. Almost all visitors arrive at Kahului Airport (OGG), the island's main facility with direct flights from the U.S. Continent and Canada. Kapalua Airport (JHM) serves West Maui via small propeller aircraft. Hāna Airport (HNM) handles limited charter service.
This guide will help you determine which airport to use based on your destination, as well as where to find rental cars, rideshare pickup locations and airline information for each airport.
Kahului Airport is centrally located on Maui 3 miles east of Kahului town, and services domestic overseas and interisland commercial service, and commuter/air taxi and general aviation operations, including helicopter operations.
Several major airlines offer nonstop service from the U.S. continent and Canada to Kahului Airport (OGG).
Hawaiian Airlines offers the most flights from the U.S. continent to Maui, with nonstop service from Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego, among other West Coast cities.

Kapalua Airport serves West Maui and is the most convenient option if you're staying in Kaʻanapali, Lāhainā or Kapalua. It's served by Mokulele Airlines with interisland flights from Honolulu only. There is no service to Canada or the U.S. Continent from this airport.
There are no rental car companies at this airport.
Rideshare services, including Holoholo — Hawai'i's locally owned rideshare service — will pick you up at Kapalua Airport. Simply order from your smartphone after exiting the terminal.

Hāna Airport is located about three miles northwest of the town of Hāna and serves primarily private and charter flights.
Mokulele Airlines offers flights from Honolulu, but you must connect through Kahului Airport before continuing to Hāna and service is limited. For visitors wanting to experience Hāna without the two-hour drive, the 20-minute flight is a good alternative.
There is no public transportation, taxi or rental car service available at the airport, so visitors will need to arrange transportation in advance.
The one-room terminal has vending machines, restrooms and free parking.
Oversized luggage such as surfboards and golf clubs are usually placed near the main baggage carousels in a clearly marked area.
The rental car tram picks passengers up regularly across the street from baggage claim to shuttles them to the consolidated rental car facility.
SpeediShuttle and Amstar offer advance-booking shuttle service to your hotel or resort. Also check with your resort, as many offer complimentary shuttle service.
Ridshare services including Uber, Lyft and Holoholo pickup at Kahului Airport.
