Find the Perfect Place to Stay
Hotel guides for every island and every budget — from luxury resorts to boutique stays.
Hawaiʻi has accommodation for every kind of trip — from oceanfront luxury resorts to boutique hotels in historic town centers. The right base depends on which island you’re visiting and what you’re there to do. Our guides cover where to stay on each island, which neighborhoods make sense for different travel styles, and which properties consistently deliver.
Accommodations on Oʻahu
Oʻahu has the widest range of hotel options in Hawaiʻi, from the iconic resort strip in Waikīkī to boutique properties in downtown Honolulu and family-friendly resorts on the west side at Ko ʻOlina.
Accommodations on Maui
Maui’s accommodation scene runs from the luxury resort corridor in Wailea and Kāʻanpali to smaller condo-style properties in quieter areas like Kihei. Where you stay shapes what kind of trip you have.
Accommodations on Hawaiʻi Island
Hawaiʻi Island has two distinct coasts with very different vibes. The dry Kohala Coast has the big resort properties. The wet east side — Hilo and Volcano — has smaller, more affordable options close to the national park.
Accommodations on Kauaʻi
Kauaʻi has no mega-resort strip — development restrictions keep the island low-rise and spread across the coastline. Poʻipū on the south shore gets the most sun; the north shore at Princeville trades weather certainty for dramatic scenery.
