Visiting Lanai

Many visitors find the “Most Secluded Island” is the perfect spot.

The island’s 3,200 residents live mostly in Lanai City, an upper-elevation town that features quaint plantation-style buildings, several general stores, a small theater, an art gallery, a library, golfing and dining.

The island’s main accommodations are the cozy and relatively inexpensive Hotel Lanai, originally built in 1923 to accommodate Dole Plantation executives; the upland (and upscale) The Lodge at Koele, modeled after an English country manor; and the elegant, seaside Manele Bay Hotel, a world-class resort near one of the island’s finest beaches.

You’ll also find a limited number of bed & breakfasts and rental homes in the island’s central region.
