Though Hawaii offers no mass-transit interisland system, several ferries operate routes between the islands of Maui and Lanai. Visitors can also travel interisland on a cruise ship or by airplane.
Expeditions Inc. runs passenger ferries between Lahaina, Maui, and Manele Harbor, Lanai, five times a day. Click here to learn more about taking the ferry between Maui and Lanai.
Large passenger ships dock regularly in Honolulu Harbor (Oahu) on their way through the Pacific, and a few offer a strictly Hawaiian Island itinerary.
For information about ships arriving and departing Honolulu Harbor, call the harbor’s ship hotline: (808) 537-9260
