Let’s be honest: In the land of white sand beaches and cascading waterfalls, just about anything you do on your Hawaii vacation could be romantic. But to give you a little jumpstart, we created a list of the most romantic places in Hawaii that require only two things, you and your ku`uipo (sweetheart). So get that “do not disturb” sign ready and get going! Oh, and you’re welcome.

1. Lanikai Beach (Oahu)

While picturesque at any time of day, you’ll be richly rewarded for making it to Lanikai for sunrise with a sky full of unbelievable Easter egg colors.

2. Tantalus Drive (Oahu)

From the top of this ridge, you’ll have a sprawling view from Diamond Head to downtown Honolulu. At night, just pull off the side of the road to take in all the twinkling city lights. Throwback to your high school make out spot days? We won’t judge.

3. Sunset Beach (Oahu)

This one is pretty self-explanatory. Just remember, no swimming at Sunset during the winter surf season.

4. Kaanapali Beach (Maui)

Be at the Northernmost end of the beach, near the Sheraton Resort and the lava outcropping known as Black Rock as the sun begins to dip. There you’ll witness the nightly tiki torch lighting, which begins with a Hawaiian chant and ends with a sunset-backed cliff dive off the top of Black Rock.

5. Harold W. Rice Memorial Park (Maui)

With a nearly unobstructed 180-degree view stretching from Maui’s South shore to her North shore, watching the sunset from here is pure magic.

6. Nakalele Blowhole (Maui)

The romantic element here isn’t actually the blowhole, but the famous heart-shaped hole in the lava rock located to the right of it. Can you say selfie?

7. Jaggar Museum Overlook, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (Big Island)

Once the sun goes down, snuggle together while watching the fiery glow from the lava within Halemaʻumaʻu Crater.

8. Mauna Kea (Big Island)

Take advantage of the incredible viewing conditions to go stargazing at the Onizuka Center for International Astronomy, located about half way to the summit. Local volunteer astronomers conduct free stargazing programs every evening. There’s a cuddle bonus on this one, because it will be chilly up there!

9. Anaehoʻomalu Bay (Big Island)

Perfectly situated for sunset viewing, grab your sweetheart’s hand and find a place to perch in the sand.

10. Waimea Canyon (Kauai)

Take this steep, winding drive nice and slow, stopping at all the lookouts. And just you wait until you reach the Kalalau Valley lookout at the top; it will take your breath away!

11. Wailua Falls (Kauai)

Seeing these magnificent falls from above is easy. But if you’re feeling adventurous, take the path that starts about 500 yards from the end of the parking/vendor area to reach the bottom.

12. Hanalei Bay (Kauai)

With the rugged, emerald silhouette of the Nā Pali Coast as a backdrop and a ridiculously scenic pier perfect for strolling, there was no way that this locale would be left off the list.

13. Gardens at the Four Seasons Resort, Lodge at Koele (Lanai)

The manicured lawns, ponds, and gazebo on the grounds of this quaint lodge will certainly set the mood.

14. Fern Grotto (Kauai)

Fern Grotto is a naturally-formed lava cave dripping in ferns and enveloped by lush plant life, creating a gorgeous vista.
