For over 20 years, Maui Ocean Center, The Aquarium of Hawaii has fostered understanding, wonder, and respect for Hawaii’s marine life with visitors from around the world. Today, it is recognized as one of Maui’s top-rated attractions and listed among the “Top 10 Aquariums in the World” by TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards.

Hawaii is one of the world’s most isolated archipelagos steeped in unrivaled natural beauty and cultural heritage. Maui Ocean Center serves as a portal into this world beyond our own, providing visitors with an immersive journey through an underwater paradise.

Maui Ocean Center is home to one of the world’s largest displays of live Pacific corals and exhibits only marine animals found in Hawaii, providing an authentic experience of Hawaii’s marine environment. Descend from the colorful Living Reef exhibits to the vast 750,000-gallon Open Ocean exhibit on a journey where encounters with schooling reef fish, sharks, stingrays, turtles, and an incredible diversity of marine life await.

With over 60 exhibits, daily marine naturalist presentations, and cultural activities including Hula Lessons, there is something for everyone at the Maui Ocean Center. The Aquarium offers additional tours and encounters including a Behind-the-Scenes Tour and Shark Dive Maui, a cage-free SCUBA diving experience with the Aquarium’s sharks and stingrays.”

More than just an Aquarium, the Maui Ocean Center features ocean view dining at its Seascape Restaurant, a certified Ocean Friendly Restaurant that serves lunch, dinner, and happy hour specials with an unrivaled view of Ma‘alaea Bay. Shopping is available at the Maui Ocean Treasures gift shop with an impressive offering of Hawaii-made products, jewelry, children toys, and more.
