Kokee Natural History Museum

By Napua Heen

On your visit to Waimea Canyon and Koke‘e State Park, be sure to drop into the Koke‘e Natural History Museum just over 15 miles up Koke‘e Road. At the end of the paved road, another 3 miles, are two viewpoints overlooking Kalalau Valley. At the museum learn about native birds, plants, and history of Kauai’s earliest wilderness parks. Knowledgeable staff can help you with trail information. There’s a great gift shop for books, tees, and souvenirs of your visit. Hours 9am – 4pm daily including holidays. Admission by donation.
