Kamehameha Festival, Hilo, Hawaii

The Kamehameha Festival takes place on Mokuola (Island of Life, sometimes referred to as “Coconut Island”) in Hilo Bay on the Big Island of Hawai‘i on June 11, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Hosted by the Royal Order of Kamehameha, Heiau o Māmalahoa, the Festival pays tribute to Kamehameha and acts to protect, preserve, and perpetuate, the Hawaiian culture. The Festival features traditional Hawaiian dance, music, chant, practices, arts, and crafts that are enjoyed by thousands of island residents and visitors from around the world. A day of aloha for the entire family, the Festival is free and open to the public.
