Ernie Reyes Jr. is an actor and master martial artist who began his career at 13 years old when he starred in the 1985 Martial arts film: The Last Dragon. Born in San Jose, California to Filipino descended parent and grandmaster martial artist/stuntman and Black Belt Hall of Famer, Ernie Reyes Sr. Following in his father’s footsteps, Reyes Jr. began his martial arts journey at the age of six, earned his first junior black belt at nine, and at age 10, he was the first and only child to win a Grand Champion title at a national karate tournament. Since his initial role in The Last Dragon, Reyes Jr has built a successful acting career starring in films such as Red Sonja with Arnold Schwarzenegger, The Rundown with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, Surf Ninjas, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He also starred in the TV series, Sidekicks. Ernie has built a philosophy of giving back and giving value to others, he has become a role model inspiring many others to train and teach in martial arts. Ernie married his partner Lisa in 2009, the pair have three children. To combat his energetic children during the pandemic lockdown, Reyes Jr founded the “Kick Punch Club” which has expanded nationally and is a virtual training program for men, women, and children to learn martial arts from the comfort of their home.

Social media personality and “foodie” content creator Lanai Tabura adds, “This new channel allows me to apply experience from appearing on the Food Network and producing Cooking Hawaiian Style to encompassing all the many quirky, unique things about Island life. We want to keep the environment loose and spontaneous, ensuring the show is entertaining for both Kama’aina and fans of Hawaii from around the world.”
