Exhibition Overview The Leaping Place: Matt Shallenberger This photography series, inspired by recollections of the artist’s family who immigrated to Hawai‘i island from Portugal in the 1880s, references the ancient Hawaiian creation chant, the Kumulipo. “Dances at an Exhibition” is an original production featuring a child's journey into the world of paintings that are brought to life through music and dance. There will be shows on two dates featuring classical, contemporary, and jazz numbers performed by students from the school of Queen Emma Ballet. The John B. Kelley Haleiwa Metric Century Ride begins and ends in Kaiaka Bay Beach Park on the Northshore of Oahu. Ride at your own pace, all skill levels and ages are welcome.
