The Inception of Hawaii.com Day
On May 29, 2002 a proclamation was made by the governor of the State of Hawaiʻi, Benjamin Cayetano, that May 29th would be Hawaii.com Day!
The Hawaii.com Day proclamation was signed in the Executive Chambers of the State Capitol to congratulate Hawaii.com for being “a web site that is rich in its coverage of culture, history, people and geography – as well as providing comprehensive travel and leisure information.”
The proclamation names Hawaii.com “the premier internet travel portal and comprehensive web site for Hawaiʻi travel information.”
