By Karen Rose

Visitors seeking cozy, home-like accommodations while visiting the Big Island can find their dream lodging by looking into vacation rentals on Hawaiʻi Island. Whether planning an extended stay or traveling with a larger group, a vacation rental is the perfect solution for visitors seeking the comforts of home. With full kitchens and comfortable furnishings, vacation rentals allow visitors to save money and eat healthier by cooking ‘at home.’ Also, there’s nothing like barbecuing fresh caught fish outside on a private lanai.

Many home owners in Hawaiʻi choose to rent out their second homes, condominiums or apartments for short term rental. These vacation rentals make an extended stay in Hawaiʻi more affordable and comfortable for many families choosing to vacation on the Big Island. Vacation rentals also offer an element of privacy and coziness not usually found in a resort or other hotel accommodation.

Vacation rentals are also a great way for visitors to Hawaiʻi Island to experience what it is like to live in paradise on a long-term basis. When evenings are spent sipping mai tais and watching the sunset from the comfort of your own ‘home,’ the aloha of the island takes on a whole new meaning.

So for those being called across the Pacific Ocean to the land of orchids and leis, a vacation rental may be the perfect lodging choice. Whether its simplicity or luxury on the wish list, there’s a perfect vacation rental for everyone.
