My husband and I were visiting Molokai April 2006.  We were there doing some remodeling work for my brother. We celebrated our 19th anniversary while we were visiting Molokai.

I had admired the tiny church built by Father Damien. The name of the church was St. Joseph's Church.

 Everytime we drove past the cute little church I would say "I want to see what the inside of that church looks like! It is such a quaint looking church! I love it!"

My husband secretly planned for us to renew our wedding vows at that very church! I had no idea! We were going out for a nice dinner with my brother and a very good friend who was visiting Molokai with us.

My husband suggested we stop and visit the church. When we pulled into the parking lot there were some other cars there. I told my husband "We can't go in the church it looks like there is something going on in there" My husband said " it will be fine if we see the church." When we walked in the cute little church was full of friends we had met during our visit! My husband told me we were renewing our vows! I of course was crying and so happy we could share our love with some family and friends!

It was such a special moment and a sweet gesture that my husband planned on his own! I love him forever and a day!
