My most romantic memory of Hawaii happened back in the year 1975.  It was our 25th wedding anniversary and I knew I wanted to do something extra special for it.  My biggest dream in my life was to be able to go to Hawaii and this provided me the

Without my husband knowing about my secret I began making special arrangements for us to renew our wedding vows on a beach at sunset on the Island of Maui.  I found a site that provided me info regarding vow renewals for special occasions.  I selected a lady that was ordained and able to perform the renewal.  I selected my beautiful bouquet, the music we were to use, the special limousine tour before the ceremony, the photos, the time it was to take place and the wonderful dinner afterwards.

I had set up a 3 week visit beginning on the Island of Oahu, the Island of Lanai, the Island of Hawaii, the Island of Maui and finally the Island of Kauai.

I worked it out so that we would be on the Island of Maui just in time for our anniversary, December 13th.  My husband did not know about it until the day before and was so surprised that I had gone to all that effort to make it the most memorable moment of our 25 years together.

We walked down a path, had special photos taken by the photographer, had our special music playing, we've Only Just Begun by The Carpenters,

the atmosphere was just amazing, sunset on the beach in Maui.  the ceremony was just perfect.  Than my husband provided his surprise during the ceremony, a brand new wedding ring which he slipped on my finger.  It was just such an emotional moment for the two of us that we will never forget as long as we live.  We then drank a toast to many more years together and walked along the beach as the sun set in the background.  After which we had a very special anniversary dinner and returned to our hotel.

I will never ever forget this truly awesome and moving experience as long as I live.  We have a tape of the wedding and will treasure it forever.  I hope some day we will be able to return once again to relive our special day.
