Do you like room to spread out when you are vacationing? Then a condo or vacation rental (formerly called timeshares) might be the perfect accommodation for you. This is especially the case on Maui, where many visitors want to stay at least a week or two due to its size. A unit with 2-3 bedrooms and such amenities as on-site swimming pools and large lanais, not to mention terrific views, provides the opportunity to settle in and enjoy your island vacation.

On Maui, you will find luxurious condo rentals near Kaanapali and Kapalua, however, there are some moderately-priced units near the old town of Lahaina. It is smart to consider condo rentals near Kihei, Wailea and Makena since you can drive almost anywhere on Maui within an hour from those spots. For those wanting a more laid-back experience should consider condos in the Upcountry area, which stretches from Haiku through Makawao and Pukalani to Kula. For seclusion and quiet, consider staying in Hana. Prices vary widely according to the size; location of the property; and the time of year you are booking so shop carefully. In fact, once you have rented a condo unit or booked a vacation rental, you may never want to stay in a hotel again!
