Kathi, you really out did yourself on this one. It was wonderful, beautiful and informative. I could leave in the morning just from reading your report. I wasn't able to see any pictures from about the middle of your sail and seeing the new batch of spinning dolphins as you were headed back.
I coukld read the words for the rest of the trip but instead of pictures it was little boxes with a red x in them. It was still a fun report. You guys do so much and stay so active. Good for you. That bike ride looked really fun. The food all sounded delicious.
Thanks for sharing this memory with us. I know that it takes a long time to put one of these reports together. Thanks for letting us live vicariouslly through you.

Sorry Ruthie - I had the same issue using Internet Explorer - when I switched to Firefox they loaded immediately. Look for a lot of the pictures as I start up the View again!

My husband and I leave for Kaua'i in EIGHT days and I can't wait! I'm so excited! Love, love, love all the photos you posted. In fact, your Coconut Coasters bike photos made me look them up on the internet! I told my husband we were definitely doing that for a morning. Also, I noticed you used Holo-Holo for your snorkel cruise. Was it fairly smooth sailing? Did you take dramamine? Anyone seasick? We've been on two snorkel cruises on Maui and one in Jamaica and neither of them bothered us, but in most of the reviews about Kaua'i's cruise everyone talks of seasickness!

You will have a blast! Coconut Coasters was one of the highlights of our trip - would definitely do it again. Let me know what you think when you get back!

Holo Holo was great - the seas were a little rough and one gal did get sick, but we took candied ginger before we left and ate it again on the sail and had no issues - we did give the gal who was sick and it helped her stomach settle down as well. We have never been sick on a sail and go everytime we go to Hawaii. It is definitely worth being a little prepared.

We leave Saturday the 15th!! We only have six nights, which makes me sad, but that's what worked for us this time (and I got a FANTASTIC deal through Expedia). It's our first trip to Kaua'i, but our fourth to the Islands...first trip was to Oahu; second trip was Oahu and Maui; third trip was Maui....we love Maui!! I'm an island girl at heart, but live in the frozen state of ND

We will be at the Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort...it's a condo on the beach (we have a garden view) in Kapa'a. It's 8 below zero right now here....my goosebumps have goosebumps!
