Cruising at Sunset

Feeling romantic? How about dinner with an unobstructed ocean view, lit by the glow of a soft pink sunset. Add drinks, delicious food, entertainment and maybe a passing whale or two. Romantic enough? You can enjoy an evening of dining and dancing on Maui's largest charter yacht. On the Maui Princess, a 120-foot stabilized ship, you'll dine on the large open-air upper deck. Expect spectacular sunset views while enjoying tableside service, a full open bar and dancing to live music.

Pride of Maui features a sunset cocktail cruise Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings. The boat departs Ma'alaea Harbor at 5:30 p.m. and returns about two hours later. An assortment of inviting pupus and cocktails will provide the counterpoint for a dreamy excursion into the fading sun.

Pacific Whale Foundation offers two sunset cruises. The first is the Kanikapila Sunset Cocktail Cruise aboard the sailing catamaran Manute'a out of Lahaina Harbor. This is a relaxed barefoot cruise with a bountiful appetizer menu and lots of aloha. Ocean Quest, a double-deck power catamaran, offers a full buffet dinner and live entertainment.
