Fly Over an Active Volcano

You can "spread your wings" and cover a lot of ground in a short time in Volcano Air Tours comfortable, air-conditioned, turbo charged, twin-engine Piper Chieftain airplane. In two hours you can see rainforests, Hana, spectacular black sand beaches, scenic cliffs and waterfalls, Mt. Haleakala on Maui, as well as lava flows from an active volcano on the Big Island. That's two islands for the price of one.

Volcano Air Tours is the only fixed-wing tour company on Maui that is authorized to fly low (1,000 feet) over the active volcano area in Volcanoes National Park.

Volcano Air Tours, with a perfect safety record, flies FAA-certified and inspected aircraft complete with pilot narration. Every passenger has a large rectangular window, which makes it easy to see out both sides of the plane, stereo headset to listen to the pilot's narration and stereo music.

If you are staying on the west side of Maui, you can fly out of Kapalua Airport, which is only about 10 minutes from most resorts. If you are staying on the south side of the island, consider the late afternoon, romantic Hawaiian sunset flight out of Kahului Airport.
