Take a Zipline Ride!

Kauai's jungles are some of the most beautiful on Earth. Massive trees are draped in robes of clinging vines, and rugged canyons and rogue waterfalls decorate an ancient landscape. This terrain is nearly impossible to access on foot, but several Kauai companies have made it possible for you to explore by zipline.

This eco-friendly adventure, which gained popularity in the jungles of Costa Rica, is Tarzan-shrieking fun. A zipline is simply a cable stretched between two poles. Harnessed to the cable, zippers sail over treetops, dip into valleys and fly past waterfalls they'd never otherwise experience. It doesn't take much to get up there; you'll be briefed and outfitted with a harness attached to a trolley that rides on the zip cable. When it's time to go, you'll step off a platform and soar!
