The Hi-Tech winch boats provide absolutely dry takeoffs and landings, so no matter what you're wearing, or where you are headed, you can choose to parasail at the spur of the moment. The ride is designed for everyone, from three-years-old to 90, including the physically challenged, and even side-by-side tandem rides are available if the combined weight of the two people does not exceed 350 pounds.
The 'deluxe ride', which soars up to 800 feet, has an optional free fall for those that dare. After about five to six minutes of sailing along the coastline above Kailua, the Captain stops the boat, and the parasail starts to descend like a parachute does. Then, depending on your guts, you can be dropped as low to the water as 'the tip of your toes', before they hitch up the line and you fly back up again. For family fun, and a birdseye view of the Kailua-Kona coastline, parasailing may be just the ticket.
