Kū Mai Ka Hula, Maui

Kū Mai Ka Hula (“Hula Appears”), the only adult hula competition on Maui, returns to the Castle Theater at Maui Arts & Cultural Center for its tenth consecutive year on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 10, 11 and 12, 2015. Maui’s premier annual hula competition features award-winning hālau from across the islands, as well as the Mainland and Japan. The annual Maui Ukulele Festival is a full afternoon of ukulele music at the first-class venue, the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. This year, we highlight the multiethnic cuisines of Hawai‘i, originating from the plantation era: ‪Hawaiian‬, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Filipino, Korean, Okinawan and Puerto Rican.
